MiaSole, a producer of cost-effective Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, has incorporated SolarSuite, a patented enterprise software platform, provided by Camstar Systems in its solar panel manufacturing facilities.
The ascendable type of production platform will allow the company to improve the reliability and quality of the products, to reduce the production period, make a quick turn around to develop and to introduce new production processes in the new production lines of the plant.
Kevin Eassa, MiaSole’s Vice President of Operations, said that his company is dedicated to offering inventive and superior solar products with a least cost to fulfill the requirements of its clients. He added that the SolarSuite solution provided by Camstar offers enough exposure and regular check over the production procedures and inventory. He stated that the availability of a variety of process information speeds up the capabilities of the company to regularly introduce the required changes while continuing with the expansion activities.
Amiya Ranjan, MiaSole’s Senior Director of IT, said that the easy to configure software platform provided by Camstar has enabled the company to take quicker decisions to support its high volume of dealings. He further detailed the methodologies deployed by the company to bring changes in its production line in 60 days time beginning with resource and work in progress tracking.
Rob Rudder, Camstar’s Sr. Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, said that a number of solar companies have started introducing solutions provided by the company. He added that those companies, which have implemented the solutions are looking forward to improving the energy efficiency of their products to stay ahead in the competition. He complimented MiaSole and said that the company understood the need to implement a total program to manage its manufacturing process and quality, and to link it with other automated solutions such as ERP and PLM systems.
