Rentech has figured in the “50 Hottest Companies in Bioenergy,” list of Biofuels Digest consecutively for the second year. The widely read biofuels daily rated Rentech as the 25th best company from over 1000 entries received from all over the world.
The company was placed in the 38th position last year. The selection proves the company’s progress in bioenergy.

The company is formulating renewable energy projects and pursuing licenses for its developed technologies that can be utilized to manufacture renewable diesel, fuel for jet planes and electricity. The Rialto Renewable Energy Center is expected to generate around 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities during its building and operational phases. The center will produce around 640 barrels of RenDiesel fuel, a renewable synthetic fuel per day and generate around 35 MW of renewable electric power (RenPowerTM) utilizing urban green waste products received from the landfills. Both the products of the company are expected to generate low level of carbon dioxide emissions in accordance with the state laws when compared to emissions utilizing conventional source of energy The company offers a range of technologies, which include its trademarked biomass gasification technology, fischer-Tropsch technology and Syngas clean-up technology. The company has entered into a global partnership with UOP, an associate of Honeywell for conditioning and product upgrading of syngas.
