BDI BioEnergy International to Construct Biodiesel Plant at Mogilev Belarus

BDI BioEnergy International, an Austria-based company specializing in the construction of biodiesel plants, has received an order from JSC Mogilevkhimvolokno Organic Synthesis Factory, a chemical product manufacturing company, located in Mogilev, Belarus, for constructing a biodiesel plant.

The proposed biodiesel production plant is expected to utilize rapeseed oil to produce around 50,000 tons of biodiesel every year. The plant planned with an investment of around €10 million will be located in Mogilev, a city with a population of over 370,000 and lies close to the eastern border of Russia. BDI will provide the required engineering services to plan the design of the plant, supply the required equipment for processing rapeseed oil, organize the construction work of the plant and assist in the starting of the plant operations.

Wilhelm Hammer, BDI’s CEO, said that his company has received considerable amount of fees for the construction of the plant. He commented that the Belarus Company has opted for renewable energy productions in tune with the global trend for clean energy.
