Isolux Corsan reaffirms its primary position among the other leading firms in the world in the field of PV solar plant construction projects by accomplishing an installed power of 267 MWp in a period of three years.
The company has just completed constructing the largest PV plant in Europe in Rovigo in Italy in a record time of only nine months. The plant has a surface area of 85 hectares and a 72 MW installed power capacity. SunEdison has developed the facilities and clean energy generated from this facility would be sufficient for its 50000 populace and it would also reduce the CO2 emissions of 41,000 tons per year.
Isolux Corsan has endeavored from both the aspects of human resources and logistics to construct this PV plant by employing almost 500 people; and using 280,000 solar panels made from polycrystalline and monocrystalline technology; 840 kilometers of low and high voltage and fiber optic cables; and also 6000 tons of steel structures. The facility also incorporates avant-garde and progressive technology for a centralized operation and a remote monitoring. It also has anti-intrusion monitoring outside the enclosure periphery.
Isolux Corsan along with the Rovigo plant is also planning to develop another 27 MW PV project in Italy. It has installed a 170 MWp unit in Spain for T-Solar, a leading independent power producer. Isolux also has plans of trying to globalize this activity with projects overseas in countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Greece, France, USA, India, Mexico and Brazil.
