JA Solar to Share SECIUM Solar Cell Expertise with tenKsolar

JA Solar Holdings, a producer of high performing solar cells and other solar products, declared that it has entered into a joint venture and product supply accord with tenKsolar, a solar technology company from Minnesota.

As per the signed clauses of accord, JA Solar will provide the know-how of its high-efficiency registered SECIUM solar cell expertise for employing in the patented RAIS rooftop solar array of tenKsolar. It is anticipated that the 19% power generating efficiency of SECTUM solar cells when utilized in the RAIS array of tenKsolar deploying static reflection as its patented cell-optimizing construction will deliver a peak power efficiency of over 25%. The combined technology is expected to provide increased rooftop energy generation at a reduced installation cost.

Yong Liu, JA Solar’s CTO, expressed his happiness in working along with tenKsolar. He added that by utilizing the high power generating SECIUM solar cells of JA Solar. tenKsolar will be able to manufacture a photovoltaic system with increased power output meant for rooftop projects as well as for the ground mounted projects with space restrictions, thus enabling the delivery of power with least cost of investment.
