Energy Technologies announced that its technological advancements in the process of water electrolysis proved successful. Earlier, the electrolysis of water was considered expensive, as high amount of electricity was required and also because of expensive transportation and storage issues. Now the company has discovered a cost-effective method to produce hydrogen fuel.
In the new process, hydrogen fuel can be produced easily anywhere in the world, at a cost of US$0.50 per kilogram. The fuel can also be produced from home without any need for transportation or storage. The raw material used in the process is water, hence, there is no drilling, exploration, or disastrous oil spill involved. The process requires low electricity.
Hydrogen fuel can be used as an alternative to fossil fuel in applications such as cars, planes, boats, trucks, operating factories, and generating electricity. This clean technology fuel will lead to the transition towards the new use of renewable energy.
