Eltek Valere, a company that offers power systems, has declared the introduction of a solar hybrid outdoor DC power system, exclusively for the use of Telecom Industry in India.
The DC power system can be utilized in remote places that suffer dearth of proper electric power infrastructure, and utilize diesel generators to meet the day to day power requirements.
The modular type of Flatpack2 HE Solar power system, developed by Eltek Valere, is designed to utilize the incorporated solar panels with optimum efficiency, to prevent heat loss and to provide protection against power surge and lightening. The power system allows connectivity from four to six solar panels and converts the generated power into a steady 48 VDC power supply to run the telecom equipment. The Smartpack monitoring and controlling unit, incorporated with the system, monitors the performance of the solar unit, optimizes the power output from the batteries, manages the network, supervises the consumption of diesel at hybrid sites, and effectively manages the functions of extra numbers of Flatpack2 HE rectifiers where required.
According to Krishna Pant, Eltek Valere India’s Country Manager, the new modular power pack saves over 80% on the energy costs when compared to conventional diesel power generators.
