Petra Solar, a New Jersey-based company, declared that it has established a research and development facility in Amman, Jordan. The new office facility will be utilized by the company to offer technology skills with a regional flavor pitched to meet the requirement of its partners located in the Middle East.
The world-wide demand for clean energy products and job opportunities created by the demand allows Petra Solar to introduce its products in the Middle East and Jordan happens to be one among the technologically progressed countries in the region.
The setting up of a Research and Development center in Jordan amply evidences the commitment of the company in improving its international business operations and in taking its solar and Smart Grid markets to newer frontiers all over the world. The research center is initiated by Petra Solar after a meeting between Shihab Kuran, CEO and founder of Petra Solar, and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan. The cooperative initiative of the company with the Jordanian government is expected to improve the local economy of the country and create more job opportunities in the country. The company is currently associating with a number of important clean energy companies in the Middle East in promoting its solar and Smart Grid products and in encouraging research opportunities with reputed institutions in the region.
