Multiquip Displays Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powered Light Tower at World of Concrete 2011

Multiquip, a company specializing in producing and distributing high-quality products, has launched a new hydrogen fuel cell powered light tower that can be used for indoor applications.

The product does not generate any pollution and is both eco-friendly and fuel-efficient. It can be used for a maximum of 50 hours at a noise level of 43 decibels at 23 feet.

New plasma light technology in the light bulb generates natural illumination.  The bulb does not contain any filament and consumes 255 W of power. It generates 22,000 lm and can last up to 50,000 h.

Multiquip’s Vice President, Torsten Erbel, stated that the company is happy to introduce the new light tower, which is user-friendly, durable, reliable, and requires minimum maintenance.

Film and entertainment firms have used prototypes of the light tower for major media events. The light tower was also used by NASA during shuttle launch operations.

The hydrogen fuel cell powered light tower was e showcased at the World of Concrete. The event was held from 18 to 21 January 2011 in Las Vegas.
