Abu Dhabi Held World Future Energy Summit Receives Support from President Obama

The recent World Future Energy Summit (WFES) held at Abu Dhabi received the full support of President Obama of the United States. In a letter, released during the summit to guide the exhibitors from the US, he recognized the role of WFES in paving the way for increased economic growth and job opportunities. The letter was issued after the visit of Hillary Clinton, the Secretary of State, USA to Masdor.

He has mentioned in his letter how the U.S. Department of Commerce selected WFES as a part of Trade Fair Certification Program of the U.S. Commercial Service and how the venue of program provides an excellent base for formulating new business opportunities for the US companies. He has mentioned that by affording new markets and encouraging trade opportunities new sales venues can be introduced for the products and services provided by the U.S. He emphasized that the business opportunities in the exhibition will in turn result in increased economic growth and a number of employment opportunities in the United States.

The recognition of the WFES and its importance immediately follows the visit of Hillary Clinton, the U.S. Secretary of State to Abu Dhabi and her tour of the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology. The graduate level institution is committed to the development of clean energy and has instituted a partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During her speech, Clinton accented the existing strong relationship between the two countries and appreciated the allegiance of Abu Dhabi in renewable energy development and easing the severity of climatic changes.
