Polarity Receives Contract to Supply Solar Inverters to Lockheed Martin

Polarity, a power supply manufacturing company that meets the requirement of commercial, industrial, medical, cleantech and defense applications, declared that Lockheed Martin has contracted with the company for the supply of its solar-inverter expertise for the airfield power systems to be used by the U.S. Air force. The details of the contracted accord are not available.

The solar inverter mobile unit manufactured by the company will facilitate in powering the smart micro grids that are utilized to lessen the power supply loads required by the airfields. The units will also assist to augment the availability of power and the efficiency of power supply by mixing the power supply from renewable or any other energy sources. The new system also known as Integrated Smart-BEAR Power System (ISBPS) is anticipated to curtail the fuel usage by 25% and can sustain mobile bases that maintain thousands of troops.

Wade Goins, Polarity’s president and CEO, said that the deployment of ISBPS by the U.S. Air Force amply demonstrates how a power solution initiative from a private sector company provides long years of solutions for military usages and more. He expressed his happiness about the choice of the air force and said that the selection strengthens the commitment of the company to supply more reliable power systems for use in extreme environments.
