AICON Establishes PV Solar System for Generating Solar Power

AICON 3D Systems, a global leader in Optical Camera-based three-dimensional measurement Systems, has established its own PV system for generating solar power and thus demonstrated that it not only aims at technological progress but also has a responsible approach towards the environment.

The PV system encompasses an 850 m² roof area on AICON’s two headquarter buildings. A total of 344 solar products have been installed for converting solar energy into electricity.

According to Dr. Ing. Carl Thomas Schneider, AICON’s President, the plan was to generate 32,690 Kwh per year, which would take care of 50% of their company’s power requirements. He also mentioned that in the past, the company had been using green energy but by establishing their own PV system they would add to the expansion of renewable energies.

AICON does not plan to stop with generating green power; it would also evaluate all its division’s operations and check if they could be made sustainable. They also had a plan for decreasing CO2 emissions released by the company cars. Dr. Schneider confirms that they had a plan to use only fuel efficient vehicles for the company i.e. those vehicles, which would consume fuel below five liters. AICON thus proves that it has both modern business management practices along with a responsible environmental approach. AICON with 55 employees was founded in 1990.
