Their contracts were valued at AU$ D 22.1 million and RM 31.1 million respectively, which was equal to RM 99.6 million at the current exchange rate. The projects’ contract period was for five years and payment would be disbursed to the contractors as per the project’s progress. The hydroelectric project located in the Cameron Highlands district is being constructed to increase electricity generation and also improves power system security by reducing carbon emissions.
