Geothermal Power Projects Planned for Jammu + Kashmir

The Central Government of India is planning to utilize geothermal resources that are available in plenty in the State of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) for a 100 MW geothermal energy power generation.

According to Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, the Central Government would offer full support and assistance to the State Government for developing the RE resources projects.
