General Electric has signed an agreement with Monsson Alma to supply 14 wind turbines for Monsson Alma’s two wind power projects with a total capacity of 35 MW in Romania.
General Electric will deliver 10 wind turbines for Monsson Alma’s wind power farm Silistea 1 and 4 wind turbines for its wind power park Mireasa 2. The agreement also includes a 10-year and 5-year maintenance contract for the two projects respectively.
The two projects being developed are located at a distance of 20 km from the Fantanele wind power farm, a project originally conceived by Monsson Alma and then sold to CEZ Romania. General Electric is also delivering wind turbines for the Fantanele wind power farm.
Monsson Invest Group’s Commercial Director, Andrei Muntmark, stated that the government’s progressive regulations in Europe are favoring renewable energy developers and encouraging investments in the wind power market.
