China Technology Development Group (CTDC), Chinese solar power products and solutions provider, has declared that the company has finished the construction of environmental-friendly Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) project at the Ecological Garden in Xiamen Bay, China. It is the first environmental-friendly transparent polycrystalline photovoltaic module project in China.
The photovoltaic system, which is a combination of energy-conserving technologies and improved eco-friendly ideas, features CTDC's LSP-branded transparent polycrystalline photovoltaic modules. The CTDC modules are co-developed and powered by Fraunhofer, the largest application-based research institute in Europe. The on-grid solar power facilities in Verona and Molfetta in Italy have also selected these improved products.
CTDC’s workers and in-house engineers have designed and deployed the photovoltaic system that has a deployed capacity of 18.6 kW. The system can produce 30,000 kWh of electricity power per year, which could eliminate 28 tons of CO2 emissions every year. The clean energy will be used to power the lawn audio system and the park lighting.
The Chief Technology Officer at CTDC, Bruno Diaz Herrera, commented that the company would design a number of transparent modules to serve a wide range of market requirements.
