Sunvalley Solar to Build Solar System for Leja Farms

Sunvalley Solar, a supplier of solar integration systems and solar power technology declared that it has contracted a commercial solar installation accord with Coachella, California-based Leja Farms.

The contract requires Sunvalley Solar to install a 62.32 kW solar system constituted of 665 solar panels supplied by Tianwei Solarfilms and two solar inverters each with 35 kW capability supplied by PV Powered. The total installation cost is estimated to be around $300,000. The signed accord is backed by solar incentive rebates amounting to 150K provided by a local utility company and $90K from Federal Treasury Department in the form of Federal Tax Cash Grants.

The installation of solar system when completed will produce around 96,649 kWh of clean power every year. The system will generate its maximum power in summer months (May to October) and will enable Leja Farms to trade the surplus power with the local utility company Imperial Irrigation District, to earn credits to offset its increased power requirement during winter months.
