Ascent Solar Technologies, producer of low cost, flexible thin-film solar modules with substrate materials, has declared that the company has chosen SW Solarwatt as distributor for its less weight, ultra-power, flexible thin-film CIGS solar modules for building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) applications used in Cyprus and Greece.
SW Solarwatt is a designer and installer of solar arrays across Greece and Cyprus, especially in off-grid and grid-linked photovoltaic systems for commercial and residential solutions.
Ascent Solar Technologies’ distribution deal with SW Solarwatt strengthens the company’s existence in the emerging solar power market of the Eastern Mediterranean region. The solar market comprises direct usage of Ascent Solar’s photovoltaic solar modules to building materials for both off-grid and grid-linked solutions.
Farhad Moghadam, President and Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Solar, said that this agreement would offer incorporation of the company’s less weight, ultra-power, flexible thin-film CIGS solar modules in numerous applications ranging from portable power to grid-connected rooftop deployments and other off-grid stand-alone applications.
