SAN’s scientists have developed a unique technology to produce solar batteries. This novel technology utilizes nano materials and uses a special ink to print on various surfaces to convert them as photo cells. The resulting batteries work well in shady areas too.
SAN’s printers have the ability to print on surfaces as diverse as stretch ceilings, tiles, furniture, glass and house hold appliances. They can also print on water. SAN’s technology enables printing solar batteries onto car roof tops.
The Russian company has invested around $40 million in development of the solar battery project. The novel technology enables the solar batteries to be made with better quality and at a more economical cost. SAN’s solar batteries are cheaper than those produced by Australia due to the method and technique used for production.
SAN plans to present this revolutionary new technology at a forum on nanotechnologies in Moscow.
