eSolar Chooses Flextronics to Provide Design Services for Solar Collectors

eSolar declared that it has contracted an accord with Flextronics to avail its design services related to the manufacture of an advanced type of solar collectors and heliostats.

Flextronics will offer its electromechanical design services from its factory in Plano, Texas, to meet the potential future demands of eSolar.

John Van Scoter, eSolar’s president and CEO expressed his excitement to partner with Flextronics in designing the solar collector systems to meet the demands of the future. According to Gary Breton, eSolar’s global operations senior vice president, the partnership will ultimately assist the company to reduce the costs for its clients. He added that the association will help the company to achieve its vision to make the solar power generation more cost-effective when compared with fossil fuel power generation.

E.C. Sykes, Flextronics Industrial’s president, expressed his happiness to enlarge its renewable energy industry support base by including solar thermal solutions. He said that his company is looking forward to associate with the team of eSolar and offer them the electromechanical design technology that is essential to meet the aggressive demands of the renewable energy segment.
