The food production facility and the headquarters of Hodgson Mill, an all-natural and organic whole grain foods manufacturing company, will soon utilize renewable green energy for its hybrid renewable energy project.
Currently, Midwest Green Energy, a renewable energy company from Central Illinois is installing the hybrid renewable energy systems in partnership comprising solar and wind for Hodgson Mill.
Its hybrid renewable energy project include 4 solar modules and two latest type of Vertical Axis Wind Turbines capable of generating 12 kW. The solar modules will be placed over the ground and utilize its dual-axis solar tracking facility to generate 3.4 kW clean electrical energy. The advanced solar tracking system by design will follow the movements of the sun all through the day, thus achieving 42% more power generation in the summer months and 24% more power in winter months when compared to fixed solar systems with similar power capability. Similarly the advanced new wind turbines are designed to produce power even in low wind speeds of 6 miles per hour.
The company has already introduced a full-fledged recycling process to recycle and reuse nearly 99% of all its material wastes that occur during its production process.
