Arise Windpower to Construct Jädraås Wind Farm

Arise Windpower, an onshore wind power generating company from Sweden, has completed an accord with Ownpower Projects and Bergvik Skog to assume the right to buy the ownership of, Jädraås Vindkraft, a joint project business owned by both the companies.

The concluded accord will allow Arise Windpower to construct a 200 MW wind farm. In principle, the company also has completed an accord with Vestas for the supply of wind turbines required for the wind farm.

Arise Windpower is looking forward to completing the other related processes such as initiating an additional wind analysis, reviewing the application for grants to link the turbines to the grid and other elaborate plans required for developing the site before spring/summer of 2011. The construction work required for the wind turbine installation is expected to begin after July and the turbines are anticipated to be functional by 2012.

The wind power project being developed in association with the local stake holders and landowners is expected to create a number of local employment opportunities.
