Applied Nanotech Holdings is to exhibit its non-contact printable metallic inks, which are used in the manufacture of silicon solar cells at SNEC PV Power Expo 2011 in Shanghai in February between the 22nd and the 24th.

This conference is the largest solar show in Asia with more than 10000 participants. Applied Nanotech would be seen at booth E7-213. Applied Nanotech’s most important prospective customer base is China, which has many leading global solar cell manufacturers.

Doug Baker, Applied Nanotech Holdings’ CEO, mentioned that according to the company China was an extremely important market for their metallic ink and paste solutions and that the SNEC show would help in showcasing their products for some of the largest manufacturers in the solar cell segment in the world to see.

The company would exhibit formulations that include nickel, aluminum and copper which are used for printing utilizing methods such as spray coating, aerosolized jet, inkjet and also other non-contact methods for high resolution line patterning with high conductivity. Non-contact printing processes would help in developing the future versions of ultra thin solar cells due to which there would be a considerable reduction in the cost per watt of energy generated. The company would also showcase screen printable pastes for traditional solar cell manufacturing methods and other inks and pastes, which have been created for the printed electronics industry.

Applied Nanotech Holdings with its team of engineers and scientists, work along with other companies for solving technical problems and creating innovative strategies. It has over 300 patents to its credit and is a premier commercialization and research organization with a focus on solving problems at the molecular level.
