Solyndra, a U.S-based producer of cylindrical photovoltaic (PV) systems meant for installation over bigger commercial rooftops, declared that it has released a new guide to assist the people who are looking forward to specifying the solar systems to be installed over their industrial or commercial rooftops.
The guide is released coinciding with the NRCA patronized International Roofing Exhibition that was held in Las Vegas during February 16 to 18. The company has exhibited its 200 series rooftop solar systems at the expo.
According to Karen Alter, Solyndra’s SVO of Marketing, the guide book will assist its potential clients to ask the right questions to enable them understand the important constituents of a rooftop solar project and take a decision. He added that the roofing and solar specialists from the company will assist them in the intricate regional and local incentive programs to formulate a better rooftop solar design for them.
The 200 series rooftop solar system displayed at the Roofing Expo is designed to safeguard and improve the existing roofing system. The low level distribution load of the system permits the installation without extra structural strengthening of the roof. The exclusive cylindrical design obviates wind resistance and active structural load while providing better performance resisting adverse soiling and weather conditions.
