AEE Renewables to Build Solar Farm in South Marston

The plan for a 5MW capacity solar farm by AEE Renewables has been announced. Employing 21,720 panels with a 30° tilt, each 6.1m away from the other, the solar farm will be built in a field to the north of South Marston.

Spread over a 30-acre plot, the solar farm will be separated by a distance of 600 meters from another AEE Renewable solar farm proposal at Roves Farm.

AEE Renewables is responsible for 75 such projects throughout the country. The project coordinator of AEE Renewables, Scott Ferguson affirmed that the location of the farm was ideal for its connection to the national grid. Additionally, the field offers a flat surface and low visibility. Once completed, approximately 790 average-sized properties will be powered by the solar panels.
