Lauren Engineers + Constructors Partners with CCL Optoelectronics to Complete Concentrated Solar Power Projects in India

Lauren Engineers & Constructors, an USA-based company with  extensive experience in the installation of Concentrated Solar Power Facilities, declared that it has established a joint venture with CCL Optoelectronics, an India-based company, to carry out Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) installation in India.

Currently, India under its central government sponsored Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, has opened up the gates to offer a good number of opportunities to develop solar projects in India during the next decade. The Solar Mission has set an ambitious target  to generate 20,000 MW solar power within the next 10 years. According to Yeshwant Rao, CCL Optoelectronics’s CEO, the CCL and Lauren joint venture will participate and contribute to the proposed solar mission of the country.

Lauren has a wide experience in Concentrated Solar Power installation. The company has earlier worked as an EPC contractor for the Florida-based Martin Solar Energy Center with 75 MW power production capability and for Boulder City, Nevada-based Nevada Solar One Plant with a production capability of 72 MW. The two plants considered to be the 2nd and 3rd biggest solar power plants in the USA produce nearly 90% of the CSP power production in the United States.
