Ultrasonic Systems Erects PV-480 for CdTe Solar Panel Manufacturer

Ultrasonic Systems, a producer of ultrasonic spray coating equipment, declared that it has productively installed and commissioned a PV-480 coating system for a CdTe solar panel producer, based in the USA.

The installed system will be used for the coating of cadmium chloride solution as an element of absorber layer energizing procedure.

PV-480 for Thin-film Solar Module Production

The PV-480 has the advantage of Ultrasonic Systems patented nozzle-less ultrasonic spray head technology to apply the coating uniformly and repeatedly when compared to the other roll coating technologies, traditional ultrasonic nozzle and usual air atomizing spray nozzle. The PV-480 is devised for use in high-volume in-line production processes and can treat glass plates up to 48 inch width at a maximum line speed of six feet per minute.

By utilizing the traversing type of patented Ultra-Spray blade head, the PV-480 provides liquid coating with over 90% transfer efficiency. The flexible type of system is found to be suitable for cadmium chloride solution application, anti-reflective coatings and for the applications that utilize low viscosity liquids.
