AU Optronics to Showcase its Current PV Module Technology at Photovoltaic Power Generation EXPO

AU Optronics (AUO) has declared that it will take part in the 4th International Photovoltaic Power Generation EXPO to be held at Tokyo from 2nd to 4th March 2011.

The company intends to showcase its current AC photovoltaic technology that offers redress for the shading problem commonly prevalent in the residential areas of metropolitan cities. It will also display its PV module that qualified the salt mist corrosion tests and suitable for use in Japanese coastal lines and a PV module with anti-reflection and self-clean qualities to improve power generation.

The AC Photovoltaic (ACPV) modules supplied by AUO overcome the problem of shading normally prevalent in crowded cities and metropolitan areas. The module is built to track the maximum power point of the sun rays for increased power generation during shady and adverse weather conditions. The system is offered with a micro inverter to do away with the purchase of an extra bigger sized inverter. The ACPV installation is designed to supply a constant voltage of 240 V and the installed monitoring software supplies concurrent information on the power output and allows the user to receive the details on a PC or mobile.

The EcoDuo PM 240P00 PV module supplied by AUO is anticipated to receive the JET certification (Japanese Electrical Safety and Environment Technology Laboratories) soon.

The GreenTriplexPM250M00 PV module provided by the company prevents accumulation of dirt and maintains  power production efficiency. The low reflective design of the module improves the light absorption efficiency and the inclusion of a photo-catalyst over the surface helps to crack-up the contaminating substances when facing the sunlight to achieve optimal power production efficiency.
