Solarcentury Develops Universal Solar Electric Roof Slate

Solarcentury, a solar energy company, announces the development of a new solar electric slate. The company had built the new universal C21e slate based on its existing C21e Tile system.

The new C21e solar electric slate has been designed to fit with roof slates of any type. Developers at Solarcentury had worked on the slate for over 18 months and had used the manufacturing techniques used in the electronics and automotive industries for producing the solar electric slate.

Solarcentury’s universal C21e slate can be used for new build as well as retrofit installations. The product has advanced weather protection and its specifications meet Europe’s building product standards. The compatibility of the universal slate to be fixed to any slate roof expands the possibilities of the four million UK homes having slate roofs to go solar. UK’s roofscape would also be preserved.

Solarcentury plans to launch the C21e slate at the ecobuild to be held between March 1 and 3rd.
