Evoco 10, Evoco Energy’s small scale wind turbine, capable of producing 10 kW, has received the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certification and has become one among the seven MCS-certified wind turbines in the UK.
MCS accreditation is a pre-requirement for small scale installations willing to gain from the feed-in tariff (FiT) scheme of the UK Government. The certification has enabled Evoco 10 to be utilized by consumers who wish to produce power on their own under the FiT scheme.
Ryan Gill, Managing Director of Evoco Energy, has stated that MCS accreditation is a significant accomplishment for their company and the availability of their wind turbine at a reasonable price will further improve the microgeneration market of UK. He mentioned that the FiT scheme has made small scale wind turbines a more striking option for cultivators and property-owners. He added that microgeneration has offered an excellent method to minimize energy costs, support clean energy initiatives and also to earn additional returns.
When examining the Evoco 10, MCS tested competence, capacity, stress, design integrity and noise of the system.
