Solar Rainbow Services, a company engaged in large -sized solar installations, has declared that they will be erecting a 1 MW solar PV system for Omni Holdings located in South Plainfield, New Jersey.
Solar Rainbow Services utilized its subsidiary company, More Core Commercial Roofing to complete the re-roofing of the 120,000 square foot roofing area where the solar PV modules need to be erected. Solar Rainbow will utilize the solar PV modules manufactured by Chaori Solar for the installation. Solar Rainbow has commenced the 1st phase of the construction over a 40,000 square feet area and the installation will generate 330 kW of power. On completion of the phase one, the phase two of the project generating around 660 kW will commence over an area of 80,000 square feet. Solar Rainbow Services is planning to complete the project by June.
In addition to providing the solar installation, Solar Rainbow will also help Omni Holdings to receive the available cash grants and funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, thus allowing the company to save around 30% on project investment. Omni Holdings anticipates recovering its investments in a period of two years by availing solar renewable energy certificates (SRECs) and through bonus depreciation.
The installation when completed will produce around 1,100,000 kW power annually and will meet nearly 80% power requirement of Omni Holdings. The power generated from the facility will offset nearly 1,759,020 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions every year, which can be equated to saving 89,750 gallons of gasoline or 1,730 barrels of oil every year.
