JinkoSolar, a China-based solar products manufacturing company declared that it has contracted one year supply accord with Lumos Solar, a USA-based solar design, manufacture and distribution company.
The signed accord will require JinkoSolar to manufacture 6 MW worth frameless type of LSX modules and conventional type of Lumos-framed modules under the brand partnership label, ‘Lumos powered by Jinko,’ and transport it to Lumos during the second quarter of 2011.
According to Arturo Herrero, Chief Marketing Officer of JinkoSolar, the strong presense of Lumos in commercial and residential segments of Colorado will allow the company with increased growth opportunities to expand in the USA. He added that the residential and commercial sections in the USA and Europe mostly opt for fully integrated solar solutions for photovoltaic roofing and the technology of LSX will come handy in the both the places.
Scott Franklin, Lumos’s CEO, explained that JinkoSolar completes the entire process of solar products manufacturing and assembly under a single roof ensuring quality production with reduced level of wastage. He added that the accord will enable providing of quality solar products with low level of installation costs to achieve near grid parity.
