Goal Zero Announces the Introduction of a Compact Solar Charging System

Goal Zero, a company that provides portable solar power solutions to power a range of products that utilize USB, AC and DC power sources, has declared the availability of the Guide 10 Adventure Kit, a compact and efficient solar charging facility for use with handheld devices.

The Guide 10 Adventure Kit performs the operations of a pocked sized battery charger for a range of portable instruments. The kit includes a 7-watt solar panel facility incorporated with mono-crystalline solar cells to provide maximum energy generation and is compatible with AA or AAA power pack. The solar panels will utilize solar power to generate energy required for charging the batteries incorporated in the power pack within a period of 1.5 hours under normal sunlight conditions. The handheld devices can be charged by connecting the devices to the USB port of the power pack or to the 12V output point.

The lightweight solar charging facility can be utilized with a broad range of handheld applications. When fully charged, the Guide 10 Adventure Kit will store enough power to charge an iPod for 40 hours, a cell phone for 30 hours, and a smart phone for 7 to 10 hours.
