Reno Contracting declared that it has contracted a strategic partnership with Envision Solar, a company that designs, develops, and manufactures clean energy solar systems.
According to the terms of the accord, Reno will build power charging stations for electric vehicles by incorporating the Envision Solar’s Solar Tree integrated with solar parking arrays. Envision's Solar Tree also comes integrated with the patented EnvisionTrak solar tracking technology and CleanCharge, system integrated charging stations for use with electric vehicles in southwest United States. The first project is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2011 and it will be followed by a number of multi-location installations in commercial and corporate buildings all through the year and beyond.
The Solar Tree combined with EnvisionTrack and CleanCharge systems provides a well constructed parking lot with a solar charging facility. The solar modules erected with EnvisionTrak feature generate 20% to 25% more energy than the traditional type of fixed solar PV systems. The hybrid multi-access tracking allows the solar panels to follow the movement of the sun throughout the day and to generate more energy. The power generated from the panels can be used either to charge the vehicles or can be delivered to the grid directly. Feeding of extra power back to the grid will enable the State of California to achieve 33% of the energy consumption from renewable sources by the year 2020.
As per the terms of the accord, Reno Contracting will support Envision Solar in streamlining the purchase of materials, the fabrication and delivery operations, securing rights and permissions, master scheduling, pricing the products, structure management and other services related to construction. Reno will also share its energy efficiency know-how for the projects.
