WindTamer declared that it has signed an accord with UAB WindTamer Europe for distribution of WindTamer turbines and other related products in Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania. WindTamer currently produces wind turbines, power storage and management systems for renewable energy and also supplies solar power systems.
UAB WindTamer Europe is a newly established company and is not an associate of WindTamer Corporation. As per the terms of the accord, UAB WindTamer Europe will have the authority to buy, promote, re-sell, set up, erect and distribute WindTamer products within the select territories.
WindTamer stated that UAB WindTamer has placed the first order for one WindTamer 4.5 GT and two WindTamer 8.0 GT wind turbines.
According to William A. Schmitz, CEO of WindTamer, after the closure of nuclear reactor in 2010, people in Lithuania rejected a nuclear project and investors were not ready to invest on it anymore. This scenario may raise energy costs in Europe. However, this prospect can increase the value proposal of the company’s wind turbines, including the Power on Demand system. He further added that the company expects to receive orders worth a minimum of $1.5 million from UAB WindTamer Europe within the next one year.
