UAB WindTamer Europe, has installed the 8.0GT WindTamer turbine, the biggest among the available WindTamer turbines in Kunkiai, a residential community, located around 25km north of Klaipeda, a sea port city in Lithuania. UAB WindTamer has its headquarters in Klaipeda. Glenn Steed, an installation coordinator from Aristo Power stayed at Lithuania for a period of seven days to supervise the installation of the wind turbine and to train a team of officials from UAB WindTamer to assemble and erect the turbines.
According to Steed, the wind turbine placed around 1 mile close to the Baltic Sea is located in a windy area so as to generate enough power. He added that the masked type and noiseless function WindTamer turbine has evoked good amount of interests among the locals who have opposed the installation of an open blade wind turbine due to its excessive noise generation. He concluded saying that the company has received enquiries from individuals as well as from other European countries seeking distribution rights for the wind turbine.
