PSE+G, Matrix Development Group Complete Roof-Top Solar Installation for Matrix Buildings

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) and Matrix Development Group declared that they have completed two roof top solar installations over two adjoining buildings owned by Matrix in Perth Amboy, NJ. The 2.8 MW solar power project is completed under the Solar 4 All program of PSE&G.

The two solar systems installed by enXco, a solar project developing company, comprises 10,395 crystalline solar panels. The panels that cover 217,000 square feet of roof area of the buildings will generate enough power to meet the electricity requirements of 470 normal homes. The power produced from the facilities is directly fed into the electric power grid owned by PSE&G for supplying to its clients.

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) located in New Jersey is an utility company serving gas and electricity customers of the state. The Solar 4 All program of PSE&G was approved by the state regulators in 2009. The program requires PSE&G to invest and install 80 MW solar projects to improve the economic conditions of the state and to augment its renewable energy supply. The structure of the program allows the clients to use federal tax credits, the price of the solar credits (SRECs) and the amount received on trading solar power to offset the cost of installation.
