Opcon Bioenergy, an auxiliary of Opcon, the energy and ecological technology group, has declared the contracting of a final accord with Falbygden Energi to supply a new combined heating and power plant (CHP) utilizing bioenergy source to Marjarp, Falköping.
Falbygden Energi is an auxiliary of the west Sweden-based energy company, Göteborg Energi. The accord is in sequence to an allocation decision announced by Göteborg Energi in conformity with the public procurement bill.
The CHP plant that functions utilizing bioenergy is designed to supply both clean electric power and heating facility to the Falköping town. The proposed plant will be formulated to generate 2.4 MW electric power and 12 MW of heat for use in the city. The plant will also be fitted with a flue gas treatment and condensation feature. The order valued around SEK 80 million is the largest order ever received by Opcon Bioenergy. The plant is anticipated to be completed in 2012.
