SportsArt Fitness, a company that designs and produces exercise machines for fitness centers and homes, has unveiled the S770 Pinnacle Trainer, an exercise machine that generates its own power to function. The new Green System produces its own power and feeds excess power back into the power grid.
The S770 Pinnacle Trainer incorporates a self-power generating design and does not need an outside power source to operate. It utilizes motion or kinetic energy produced during the exercise. The medial/lateral and forward/backward motion features assist in enhancing the core balance and stability. The dual action motion of the machine burns more calories and provides a complete workout by stimulating various muscles in the body. It monitors the heart rate during the exercise activity and includes an entertainment device bracket.
The Green System exercise equipment, which is anticipated to be available in late summer, is connected to an inverter that resembles the size of a stereo receiver and functions on 208-240 V AC power. It will store the power produced during the exercise and transfer it to the power grid. If used fully, each exercise pod can produce around 2,000 W of power and can save around $3,000 on energy bills every year.
Earlier, around five years back, the company had launched its ECO-POWR treadmill which utilized around 32% less energy than other normal treadmills. The company also offers a range of self-powered elliptical and sports cycles that operate without outside power source.
