Koyo Cooling Systems, a solution provider for automotive heat exchangers, declared that it has installed a 90 kW solar power facility at its service and sales office buildings located in Irvine, California.
The solar installation comprises 500 Mitsubishi Electric solar PV modules, which will produce adequate power, to meet nearly 100% power requirement of the company.
Koyo Cooling, which utilizes lead-free solder in the manufacture of its products, chose the180 W Mitsubishi Electric modules for their dependability, cheaper cost and more particularly the use of lead-free solder in module construction. California Green Designs, a Los Angeles area-based company experienced in residential and commercial solar installations, has completed the solar installation at the Koyo premises. The fixed type of rooftop solar installation erected over the flat rooftop of the building will generate around 130,000 kWh of clean energy every year, thus allowing the company to save on electricity consumption expenditure and cut down its carbon dioxide discharges from fossil fuel generated power.
Koyo by availing 100% bonus tax depreciation, federal tax credits and California Solar Initiative program will save over 80% of the system investment costs by way of incentives and rebates.
