Satcon Technology, a power solutions provider for clean energy markets, declared that it has been chosen by BIOSAR Energy, a solar PV energy development company, to provide power solution products for a number of utility-level solar power production facilities across Bulgaria, Greece and Italy.
Equinox System
BIOSAR will erect around 32 numbers of 625 kW Equinox utility ready inverters supplied by Satcon in its projects. The Equinox inverters with a maximum efficiency of 98.5% and with broad thermal operating range will improve the energy harvest from each of the solar systems thus enabling the utility level solar installations with improved power yield to achieve maximum return of investment (ROI) with least levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
The Equinox product built with Satcon’s PowerGate Plus inverter features sophisticated utility-ready characteristics that allows remote management of real and reactive power, power factor control and low voltage management. The power solution can be easily connected to the SCADA systems by using the normal communication connectivity to manage the facilities.
Dr. Kostas Daniilidis, SDL Solar’s Managing Partner, has said that the proposed installation sites will incorporate the latest system design and technology to achieve a maximum level of power generation and reliability. He further said that the installation of Satcon inverters will increase the confidence of BIOSAR when providing Performance Ratio Guarantee to the investors.
