ReneSola, a China-based manufacturer of solar wafers and producer of solar power products, declared that it has commenced the shipment of its Virtus modules and wafers from June.
The company has shipped a total of 20 MW Virtus modules produced utilizing Virtus wafers and around 54.8 MW of Virtus wafers to its clients all over Europe. The Virtus wafer manufacturing of the company has reached a yearly production capability of 900 MW and is targeted to achieve 1.8 GW by the year end of 2011.
The company commenced the manufacture of Virtus wafer in January 2011. The V-Grade Virtus wafer supplied by the company is designed to achieve a solar cell conversion efficiency of 17.5% to 18.2% and its M-Grade lower graded Virtus Wafer reaches efficiency rates from 16.7% to 17.0%. The efficiency rates achieved in the wafer production process further gets amplified in the cell manufacturing procedure. The ReneSola modules are designed to produce up to 250 W power.
The total 54.8 MW of Virtus wafer shipments include around 32.1 MW of M-Grade Virtus wafers around 22.7 MW Virtus wafers of V-Grade and the 20 MW module shipment includes only modules made utilizing V-Grade Virtus wafers.
ReneSola is presently taking steps to apply and get 10 patents that are connected to the manufacture of the Virtus wafer and module and is making applications for trademark protection in a number of countries.
