Much to the delight of municipalities, parking lot owners, home builders, fleet managers and electric vehicle owners GE has declared the availability of its GE WattStation Wall Mount, a compactly built electric vehicle charging facility.
The new charging facility is designed to provide full-charge to a 24 kWh battery in a period of 4 to 8 hours when compared with other normal electrical outlets taking 12 to 18 hours for similar charging.
The NEMA 3R rated GE WattStation Wall Mount, is designed to endure ice, sleet and rain and is suitable for both outdoor and indoor installations. The compact unit has a height x width x depth dimension of 24 inches x 16 inches x 6 inches. The flexible cord offered with the unit can be wrapped around it in an organized manner to keep it off the ground.
The GE WattStation Wall Mount requires a 208-240 V AC type of circuit for operation and can be easily erected in an existing or new building construction. It can be hard wired for permanent installation in a building or can be connected to a NEMA 6-50 container for easy and simple removal. The sleek Wall Mount conforms to fire safety and UL standards and allows the users to choose zero energy intake option when the charger is not in use thus saving on energy consumption. The Wall Stations are supplied with ground fault protection and LED indicators to show the fault and charge status to improve the security and comfort of usage.
The EV chargers are supplied as a suite along with transformers, circuit protection equipment of GE, WattStation Wall Mount and GE Durastation needed for the development of electric vehicle charging station.
