EnviroMission has entered into a United States construction services contract with Hensel Phelps Construction for the development of the Solar Tower power station in the US.
Solar Tower
Under the contract, Hensel Phelps is required to develop the 200 MW Solar Tower at Arizona at a guaranteed maximum price for EnviroMission. The Western District Director of Hensel Phelps, Steve Grauer, was looking forward to working on the contract and setting up the Solar Tower in Arizona. He stated that an exclusive team has been set up for the construction of the tower and all the corporate resources will be extending their support during the execution of the project.
The CEO of EnviroMission, Roger Davey, approved of choosing Hensel Phelps for the development of the Tower as he felt that they will be able to provide the expertise and resources for the project. This will be the first Solar Tower power station in the world. He added that Hensel Phelps has an established reputation for executing complex projects through a systematic approach. They have completed the construction of some major projects like the rocket launch facilities at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Air Force Base, renovation of the Pentagon and a number of healthcare, commercial, transportation projects like the San Jose and Denver International Airport. They have even successfully completed projects abroad like the American Embassy projects in Berlin, Germany and South Africa. Hensel Phelps has shown a strong commitment in developing environmentally- friendly and sustainable projects; more than 80 of their projects are LEED certified. They have the distinction of employing around 350 LEED Accredited Professionals and are recognised as the leader in developing eco-friendly projects.
