Antaris Solar, a Germany headquartered supplier of solar PV panels, declared that its AS P and AS M series of PV modules have received the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification in agreement with the strict production standards.
The company under its AS P series supplies normal black color polycrystalline modules with 230 W or more power output. Its AS M series mono-crystalline solar panels are supplied with 190 W or more level of power output.
In the UL certification process, the AS P and AS M series solar modules were subjected to a broad range of mechanical and electrical tests for a number of months. The testing program checks the modules for their adherence with the present safety norms. The modules were put to a number of stress tests to check their endurance for a range of climatic conditions such as rain, snow, wind and extreme heat. The mechanical impact tests checked their endurance for bending and breaking impacts. Before receiving their UL Certification, the Antaris Solar Modules have successfully completed the required safety norms.
The AS M and AS P modules in addition to getting UL certification, also have received certification from TUV Nord, a known German testing organization that offers certification for safety and quality. In a recently held module comparison test undertaken by the Germany located TEC Institute for Technical Innovations, the AS M series modules from Antaris Solar have proved to offer more than the average performance and sturdiness.
Dr. Michael Goede, Founder and CEO of Antaris Solar, has stated that receiving of the UL certification is an important achievement for the company and it will now make the clients to understand the superiority of the product as it fulfils the needed safety standards. He further expressed his happiness to supply the products in the US market after its success in the European markets.
