Lark Energy, a segment of the Larkfleet Group and and HPC Healthline UK have partnered to complete one of the biggest rooftop solar PV installations in East Midland.
Lark Energy has erected around 810 solar PV panels over the rooftop of the national distribution center of HPC Healthline in Bourne. The solar installation is around 90 times bigger than the normal household rooftop solar installation and will not cost HPC Healthline any investment.
The 186.3 kWp PV solar installation received investment from the Investment scheme fund of the Downing Low Carbon Enterprise and Low Carbon Investors. The installation will enable HPC Healthline, a leading supplier to the NHS in reducing its energy bill payments and ecological impact by producing power from solar. For providing the roof for the solar PV installation HPC Healthline will get index-linked rental for the roof for the ensuing 25 years and will utilize the total power produced from the installation at a discounted rate. The solar installation will generate around 153 MWh of clean electricity every year for the use of HPC thus enabling it save substantially on its power bills.
The installation utilized solar panels produced by Hyundai were supplied Eco Building Products, a company under the Larkfleet Group and Lark Energy handled the project and supervised the installation, which was completed in three weeks.
