Car Charging Group, a company that offers electric vehicle (EV) charging services, declared that it has entered into a joint venture with Central Parking System and its auxiliary, USA Parking System, a parking garage operator to offer EV Charging services at its nationwide locations through ChargePoint Network of Coulomb Technologies.
The contracted accord will provide Central Parking the right to buy 5% of the Common Stock held by Car Charging Group.
Car Charging Group is planning to erect its EV charging stations at around 2,200 locations of the two parking garage operators who have 1.1 million parking spaces all over the nation. The Group supplies EV charging stations without requiring any investment from the property owners or managers while continuing to hold the ownership of the stations thus enabling their partners to provide charging services to their employees, tenants and clients. The partners of Car Charging Group will get a percentage on the charging services paid by the EV owners.
