Ecologic Brands, a company that made molded fiber bottle from recycled cardboard, has declared that it will partake in Pack Expo to be held in Las Vegas during 26th to 28th September 2011 to showcase its eco.bottle range of stock molded fiber bottles.
The bottles currently available in 32, 50 and 64 oz sizes offer easy to acquire ecologic solution to store dry food grade products or liquids.
The eco.bottles supplied by Ecologic Brands incorporate two parts viz., the tough fiber outer shell manufactured using recycled news papers and cardboard and a thin plastic bag inside the shell. The arrangement utilizes around 70% less quantity of plastic when equated with rigid plastic HDPE bottles. The plastic pouch and the opening used in the bottle are made of from #4 Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plastic that is free from BPA. When the content inside the eco.bottle is exhausted the consumer can easily open the outer shell made of recycled news paper and cardboard and send it for recycling or allow it to undergo the natural compost process. The plastic pouch kept inside the bottle can be recycled along with other plastic products to reduce its accumulation at landfills.
The company earned the 2011 Greener Package Award given for environment friendly products for its brand. The Ecologic bottles save on transportation costs also and save carbon discharges. Unlike rigid fiber plastic shells, the outer shells of the bottles can be tightly packed and sent flat during transportation. One truck load of ecologic bottles can be equated to nine truck loads of rigid plastic bottles
