Fyda Energy Solutions is the most recent addition to the Alliance AutoGas network as a certified conversion center. Fyda joins the network by expanding its alternative fuel service products to include propane autogas vehicle conversions.
Nationally renowned Fyda Freightliner’s green technology wing is Fyda Energy Solutions and it has been operating with a range of fleet vehicles including taxi cabs, police cruisers and cargo vans in the Northeast to ensure that they run on clean, cost-effective, American-made autogas.
Fyda Energy Solutions’ specialization is in assisting vehicles to be powered by alternative fuels and to offer maintenance support for fleets. The main objective of the company is to enable the country to depend minimally on foreign oil, to ensure clean air and to assist the transportation sector with cost-effective clean fuel alternatives.
Tim Hooker, Director of Business development of Fyda Energy Solutions stated that Fyda knows how essential it is that managers and fleet owners need to minimize costs and at the same time ensure a positive impact on the environment and security of national energy. He stated that by partnering with the Alliance AutoGas program, the company is proud of being a part of a novel solution for clean energy that provides considerable savings for the transportation sector.
The autogas vehicle conversions offered by Fyda Energy uses the bi-fuel Prins VSI system from American Alternative Fuel, a founding partner of Alliance AutoGas. Autogas vehicles take almost the same time to refuel as gasoline vehicles and since it is cleaner when compared to gasoline, vehicles require lesser maintenance and have a long engine life.
Autogas is 90% made in America, so fleets running on this clean fuel are doing their part to reduce the U.S. dependence on foreign oil.
