Unirac, a developer and supplier of infrastructure for solar power installations, has declared the availability of its ISYS Ground Mount racking system for use in commercial installations. The new ISYS Ground Mount (IGM) 2.0 is light, built sturdy and allows faster installation than the earlier versions.
The ground mount is designed to be accommodated in all types of foundations and can be utilized in any type of project site thus saving the clients from the problem of choosing a cost-effective and project specific system.
The present IGM system is built utilizing roll formed C-channel beams instead of the roll formed and toggle-locked beams deployed in earlier models of IGM. The new improved design while bringing down the quantity of material used, continues to preserve the same structural reliability the company is known for. The use of the C-channel beams has brought down the manufacturing time by 50% and also cut down the project build-up time considerably. The new IGM 2.0 can be packed interlocked to occupy a reduced level of space thus making it convenient to transport more number of beams by utilizing a fewer number of trucks. It is assessed that the new design when compared to the earlier version brings down the shipping weight of beams meant for a normal 1 MW project by 14%.
The new ISYS Ground Mount 2.0 from Unirac enables pre-assembly of the required modular columns well before the installation or allows simultaneous erection of foundations and racking systems. It also permits the installation contractors to construct grade land or subassembly while setting up of solar modules over the Unirac rails in restricted environs. The easy installation options extended by the new system shorten the installation period and project pick-up time thus allowing the clients savings on installation time and enable quicker returns on investment.
